Haute Item of the Week: ASOS CURVE Peplum Plate Detail Waist Belt

Hi beautiful people I couldn't sleep and started to shop around online, hence the reason for this quick post.

As we all know "The Peplum" as I like to call it has taken over this season and its been the one of the latest fashion trends seen in almost every fashion brand. From high end to budget fab this look has been on everyone from celebrities to fashionistas cat walking down their city street.

I was just on one of my favorite sites- ASOS and I came across this fabulous peplum belt. Do you know how HAUTE that is ???? *screaming with excitement in my most dramatic voice* HA!! We now can add "The Peplum" look to anything we want; from the plain pencil skirt to the plain blouse. Adding the belt gives you that extra touch of style and modernizes your look. It also saves you a few dollars which is always a good thing... Right ?? The belt is under $40 and in my opinion is a great accessory to have.

Election Day

Tuesday, November 6th 2012 will be a day where the Red White and Blue will be displayed in more ways than one.

It's Election Day and its probably one of the most important elections ever. From our country's economy, to the unemployment rate still down, to homes being lost, and overall most of the American people not being happy with how decisions are being made; it seems like this presidential race will be very close.

There's no debating that the American people want change however the question is "How many people will make it to get out and vote ?" I will!!!! Will you ???

Fashion trends and celebs are also getting in on the "Rock The Vote"....

Check out some cool pics showing everything from Beyonce's cool Obama earrings to Katy Perry's fun "Obama nails "

Good luck Mr. President !!

Street Style

I haven't put together a "complete look" post in a while so I figured why not.. Especially since we are finally saying goodbye to Summer and hello Fall!! :)

Right now I'm loving leather (everything and anything) and designer sneakers- so the look below is perfect for that stylish diva on the go who wants to leave her 4 inch heels in her closet yet still look fashion forward.

The pieces below are all designer. Giuseppe sneakers, Gucci sweater and handbag, Joseph Spark stretch leather leggings, Alexander McQueen ring, Duvetica padded bubble vest, Michael Deco watch , Charlette Rousso earrings, and Christian Dior nail polish.

Christian Dior, Gucci, Alexander McQueen, Michele
This second picture is a similar look but for the budget friendly fashionista. Sweater from American Apparel, BCBG Max Azria leggings, Moccler puffy vest, Marc by Marc Jacobs handbag, (Both)Sneakers  Steve Madden, Forever 21 ring and earrings, Miss Fancy Pants by Essie. Stay Pretty

My Belt Journey

For the past few months I've been looking for a skinny belt. I had the cutest dress in my closet but never wore it because I felt it was missing something. IT WAS! I wanted and needed a skinny belt! Of course I could have worn the usual "big girl" belt..... You know the one that is nothing but wide stretch material *sigh* but I refused. I was determined in finding a skinny belt.

I recently checked out one of my favorite online sites Asos and I wasn't surprised when I found a few options. I immediately pulled out my credit card and began to add a few belts to my shopping bag. I was excited and happy. Yes things like this make me happy (blankstare). After 5 minutes of shopping I managed to see a total of $78.65 in my cart. I needed time to convince myself that this was ok so I saved the items and quickly closed my browser.

The next day I went out for a little retail therapy and decided to check out Fashion To Figure. Normally I just go there for accessories since their clothes don't flatter my body shape, and since a girl can NEVER have enough arm, neck and ear candy why not just walk in and see what they have. As I'm walking around the earring section I stumble on SKINNY BELTS!!! It was like seeing a huge bright light and angels. Finally I found them! I was like a fat kid in a candy store. I wanted them all. I will take one in every color please. And yes they had other colors besides black which is a big deal. To top it off the belts were only $6. YES!!!

My Belt Journey has finally ended and I'm soooooooo happy!

I posted a picture of the FTF belts I purchased as well as some belts from Asos. Enjoy!
